Do I need a referral from my GP to make an appointment?
No you do not. If you have any concerns, please call us directly.
If you want a Medicare Care Plan enhancement, then please see your GP for the paperwork.
Will/Can I be referred for additional assessment, such as an MRI?
Physiotherapists can refer you for scans. Depending on your injury, we may or may not suggest a scan. We will talk to you about this in your session. If a scan is required, your GP will always be notified.
What if I’m not too sure what my injury is and don’t understand which treatment will be best for me?
It is our job to educate you about your presenting concern. We will explain our treatment options thoroughly so you have all the information to make an informed decision.
How long will my appointment go for?
Initially, your appointment is 45 minutes long. After this, your appointments will be shortened to 30 minutes.
What should I wear?
Comfy clothing. However, if you’re coming from work, that is absolutely fine, and if you have shorts or a singlet to bring, please do.
Please note for some of the assessments, you might be asked to take off an item of clothing for a thorough assessment. Please let the Therapist know if you do not wish to do so. Your comfort is vital for a true assessment.
What will my treatment cost?
The initial appointment for sport or general physiotherapy is $125.00. Your follow-up appointments are $105.00.
Women’s health appointments are $140.00, followed up by $105.00.
See our Price Guide above for more.
Does Medical Insurance cover treatments?
If you have private health and physiotherapy as a cover, you will have some of your appointments reimbursed. Please note your level of coverage will impact your specific rebate amount.
If you are coming from the GP with a Medicare enhancement plan with 5 sessions per calendar year - Medicare will cover $58.30, and YOU will pay the gap.
